We’re committed to finding the biggest and best talent across the country. Whether you’re a recent graduate looking to build a career with longevity or a self-taught YouTube performer looking to take on a new challenge, we can get you on your feet.
Over the next year we’re investing £25k in our brand new Artist Development Program - giving singers and musicians a chance to hook up with other like-minded folk, develop their skills and build a marketable act that will form the basis of a long-term career in the industry.
Before you apply to join, consider the following:
Are you super talented and do you meet the grade?
We’re only interested in singers and musicians that show an exceptional level of talent. If you don't feel you're quite there yet, keep on improving and please get in touch when you’re ready.
Do your current commitments allow you to take on a full time career as a singer/musician?
Our function bands can find themselves performing any day of the week, which means it’s rarely compatible with a regular full time job that doesn’t offer flexible working hours.
Do you drive and do you have transport?
You’ll be travelling all across the UK and may even find yourself performing abroad. Whilst we do our best to target events close to home, we book events in every region and that can mean hours spent on the road.
Are you cut out for it?
Musicians invariably find themselves working long hours, often 12 hour days by the time they take into account travel, set-up, soundcheck and pack-down. On top of this, a band might perform on three or four consecutive days, which can take a toll on your sleep. Nobody said this was an easy game!
Are you committed?
Successful applicants will be offered exclusive contracts with Bands For Hire Ltd with a guaranteed number of bookings each year. If you’re already under contract or have other projects on the go that will take priority, you may want to consider a more flexible non-exclusive arrangement with your existing act.
