Do your Sheffield DJs have PLI & PAT?
Our party DJs are fully insured and have their equipment tested annually. Don't worry- if your venue asks for any evidential documentation, we'll be happy to send that over to you during the booking process.
What equipment do your DJs provide?
When booked to perform at a venue, a DJ will bring their own equipment unless otherwise stated. Below are some items that will often be included in your hire.
- PA system (speakers)
- Mixing Desk
- Atmospheric Lighting
- DJ Booth (optional)
- Additional Microphones (optional)
Some optional items are sometimes offered as extras by our DJs. If you need anything for your event that a DJ can provide, please let us know, and we'll do our best to offer you a bespoke quotation catering to your needs.
What types of DJs do you offer in Sheffield?
We represent a range of DJs ideally suited to your wedding, party or corporate event. The most common types of DJs we work with are:
- Wedding DJs
- DJs with Live Vocals
- DJ and Sax combos
- DJ Live acts
- Party and Event DJs
- Specialist and Club DJs
- Karaoke DJs/ Mobile Discos
Is a DJ suitable for my event?
If your next event calls for live entertainment and you don't have the space or budget for a band, then booking a party DJ could be the perfect solution. Our Sheffield DJs cater to many events and can offer bespoke packages to suit any party size.
How do DJs handle song requests?
Requests are handled slightly differently depending on the type of DJ booked. A typical mobile disco DJ generally brings a vast music library to events and can play requests without issue.
On the other hand, a more traditional DJ, for example, one that plays vinyl records, is more limited. It's always worth checking in with the DJ before the event to ask how they handle requests to avoid any disappointment on the day. Our DJs in Yorkshire know how important it is to keep dance floors full and will always try and play as many song requests as possible.
What songs do DJs play?
A DJ's strength is their ability to offer a wide selection of music to suit different audiences.
A typical wedding has a wide age demographic, so they will tailor the set to include hits from the past up to the present day to keep everyone happy. If you'd prefer a more hands-on approach and would like to have a hand in creating the playlist, then our DJs would be happy to work with you on this before the event date.
For corporate and private events, a DJ may include music from genres such as house, rock, funk, soul, hip-hop, disco and Motown. Whatever the event, your guest's enjoyment is a DJ's number one priority, and they will always ensure they're on the dance floor as much as possible.
How much space do DJs need?
We recommend that a 2 x 2-meter space be provided so our DJs can comfortably set up their equipment and perform.
Do we need to provide food and drink for the DJ?
A DJ will often be booked for an event that lasts a few hours, so it's expected that food and drink be provided during their stay on-site. Musicians never expect to be provided with the same quality of food served to guests and are happy with a simple caterer's meal.
What do your DJs wear?
When booked to play an event, your DJ will dress to fit the occasion. This may be casual, smart or smart casual. If your event requires suppliers to wear clothing to match a brand or colour theme, please let us know, and we'll ensure the DJ gets the message.
Take your wedding entertainment to the next level with our unique DJ Live and Sax DJ acts.
