How much do South West wedding bands cost to hire?
We offer a whole range of wedding bands in the South to suit your budget. From acoustic duos starting from £500 to a 4-piece band from £1200 and larger party bands from £2000 upwards.
There are several factors that affect the price of a wedding band, from travel costs, accommodation and time of the year to early arrivals, late finish times and extended performance times.
What's included in the band's fee?
All of our wedding bands have put together an all-inclusive package to cover everything you'll need on the day - so you won't need to worry about a thing!
Below you'll find an example of the most common package on offer; however, we'll always provide a breakdown of the band's services in your quote.
- Set up and soundcheck from 5:30pm/6pm
- 2 x 60 minute or 3 x 40 minute live sets
- DJ Playlists throughout the evening
- Professional sound system (PA system, speakers etc.)
- Professional lighting rig
- Public Liability Insurance
- PAT tested equipment
Do your South West wedding bands provide a DJ service?
All of our bands in the South provide free DJ playlists between sets to keep the party in full flow when the band aren't performing.
If you'd prefer something a little more hands-on, many of our party bands also offer laptop DJ sets for a small additional fee. A DJ set usually involves a member of the band mixing tracks on the night, taking song requests and making announcements if required.
What type of music do wedding bands in the South West play?
We offer an eclectic roster of wedding bands so you can tailor your wedding music to suit your theme.
You'll find most wedding bands perform a varied set list of dance floor fillers to cater for guests of all ages. So whether you're into rock 'n' roll legends such as Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis or indie-rock veterans such as the Arctic Monkeys, Killers and Kings of Leon, you'll find something that fits the bill.
Along with our all-round cover bands, we also represent a whole array of live function bands that focus on one particular genre. From 80s bands to soul bands, vintage swing to Mariachi bands, we've got every angle covered.
How many musicians are there in a wedding band?
We represent an extensive range of wedding bands suitable for venues of every size. Whether you're looking for a high-energy indie rock band, a 4-piece band featuring keys and vocals or a larger covers band with a brass section, you'll find the perfect line-up to suit your requirements.
Below are some of the most popular line-ups we offer:
- 3-piece band: Lead Vocals/Guitar, Bass, Drums
- 4-piece band: Vocals/Guitar, Keys, Bass, Drums
- 5-piece band: Vocals/Guitar, Keys, Bass, Sax, Drums
- 5-piece: Male Vocals/Guitar, Female Vocals, Keys, Bass, Drums
- 6-piece party band: Male Vocals/Guitar, Female Vocals, Keys, Bass, Sax, Drums
- 7-piece soul band: 2 x Vocals, Keys, Bass, Drums, 2-piece horn section
Many of our bands can also alter their line ups to suit your budget and venue requirements. For larger weddings, our Motown bands, soul and funk bands and jazz ensembles can add additional vocalists and musicians.
For more intimate weddings, these can be stripped down to solo guitarists, pianists, jazz trios or acoustic duos - ideal for your wedding ceremony or drinks reception.
Where do your South West wedding bands perform?
Most wedding bands will be more than happy to learn your first dance song. Please just let us know at least 8 weeks before the date so that we can run it past the band and ensure it's the right fit for their line-up and vocalist.
A few bands do charge a small fee to cover their rehearsal time, so please feel free to let us know in advance if you have a particular song in mind.
What time will the band arrive to set up?
Wedding bands usually base their quote on a standard arrival time of approximately 5:30 pm/6 pm. If the band are setting up in a separate room to the meal and speeches, they'll be able to set up straight away. Otherwise, the band will usually wait until the meal and speeches have finished avoiding any interruptions.
What time will the band start their sets?
Our wedding bands in the South West are always happy to fit in with your schedule. As a rule, we recommend that the band starts no earlier than 8:30 pm/9 pm to avoid peaking too early on in the evening.
How long does a wedding band take to set up?
Function bands typically take around an hour to set up and sound check. If you've booked a large party band, you may need to allow between 90 minutes to 2 hours.
