Your wedding venue may have mentioned that they have certain sound restrictions such as a sound limiter. Worry not. This just means that your DJ will need to keep the music to a moderate level. All our DJs can easily work with such requirements due to the digital equipment they use.

Many DJs work alongside other musicians and can provide larger line-ups, including real instrumentation such as live saxophone, guitar and vocals. If the DJ is fully set up before your wedding speeches take place, then yes, our DJs are happy to provide use of their PA system and microphone. It's always worth checking with your DJ if you have any special requests, as they may need to bring some extra equipment, such as extra microphones, on the day.

If there's suitable cover such as a gazebo or stretch tent, performing outside isn't a problem for a DJ. If on the day, the weather looks unpredictable, then it will up to the DJ's discretion as to whether they will be happy to set up, bearing in mind their equipment could get damaged if it started to rain.

We advise booking as soon as possible to avoid disappointment, as peak dates get snapped up fast. For Friday nights and weekdays, availability is generally much better, however it's still advised to book as soon as possible.

If you've booked a wedding band for the evening reception and want to hire a DJ, that's no problem. Both bands and DJs expect to work with other acts, especially at weddings, and there's typically enough room for both acts to set up. If you'd like to be a little more organised and want to ensure no snags on the day, then it's advisable to put the band and DJ in contact with one another before the event date.
