Despite the classical connotations a string quartet may have, you can nevertheless expect one or two surprises. While you may indeed be treated to a beautiful rendition of Strauss' The Blue Danube, our musicians also enjoy performing the surf rock classic "Misirlou," famously used in the opening sequence of Quentin Tarantino's crime thriller, Pulp Fiction. Also included in their extensive repertoires are traditional and folk numbers such as Greensleeves, Londonderry Air and What Shall We Do With the Drunken Sailor; film and musical themes from Andrew Lloyd Weber's Cats and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Disney's Aladdin, and Gerry Anderson's Thunderbirds; and, rock and pop hits penned by the Beatles, the Ramones, the Darkness, Queen and Oasis. Our Surrey string ensembles can achieve the same effect performing such numbers as these as they can playing Bach, Mozart and Schubert.

Surrey String Duos and Trios

Typically, you'll find a cello, a viola and two violins to be the perfect components for a string quartet. Even so, if your budget or venue restrictions wouldn't suit an entire quartet, our Surrey string quartets can, by prior agreement, appear as string duos, string trios or string ensembles.
