Stamford-based entertainment agency Bands For Hire has acquired long-running online directory EntsWeb, marking the next step in the company’s growth across the wider events and entertainment industry.

Founded in 1997, EntsWeb has been a familiar name in UK entertainment for decades, helping people discover performers, acts and event services for weddings, parties and corporate events.

Following the acquisition, EntsWeb will become the main platform for a broader mix of entertainment and event supplier categories, including magicians, caricaturists, speciality acts and other event services, while Bands For Hire will remain more closely focused on live music, DJ, and musician bookings.

Bands For Hire has been operating for over 15 years and has grown into one of the UK’s leading live music agencies, working with hundreds of acts and providing entertainment for thousands of events each year.

Director Adam Mezzatesta says, "EntsWeb has a lot of history behind it and we felt it deserved a proper new chapter.
