Yes, most wedding bands will be happy for you to select a handful of your favourite songs from their repertoire. However, it's usually best to trust the band's expertise and experience when it comes to choosing the setlist. This allows them to choose the songs that best suit the audience and occasion.

It's important to check with your venue beforehand to see if they have sound restrictions, such as a sound limiter. Most of our Welsh wedding bands are able to accommodate sound limiters by adjusting their volume levels, using electronic drums and in-ear monitors. However, if your venue has very strict noise limits, you may want to consider hiring an acoustic duo or trio instead of a full band.

DJ playlists typically involve pre-selected music played through the sound system, while a DJ service usually refers to a band member providing DJ sets throughout the evening. A DJ service tends to be a more personalised experience as they can interact with guests, take requests and make announcements throughout the event.

Most of our function bands in Wales arrive at the venue at about 5:30/6pm so that they're ready to set up as soon as the meal and speeches have finished. If the band are in a different location to the meal, they can usually set up on arrival. Rest assured that all our bands will work with you and the venue to ensure a smooth and timely set-up.
